Mum to 5 children two dogs and one cat. I’m a Registered children’s nurse and worked for the NHS for 23 years before following my childhood dream of working with animals.
My motivation to move professions was my dog Woody who at 15 months started to display negative reactions to humans and dogs. Through lots of studying and hard work, his behaviour is now manageable and my passion to support other dog owners was released.
In 2019 I qualified as a pro dog training instructor and canine first response first aid instructor. I am currently completing a course as canine massage practitioner.
My aim is to offer positive holistic pet services to make a difference to pets and their owners. I believe for a dog to be well balanced involves a holistic approach, which means addressing their needs through training, nutrition, massage and alternative therapies.

How we can help
Dog walks range from 30 minutes to an hour, group or solo. All walks are focused on your dog getting physical and mental stimulation through walking in new areas, training games, off lead in secure areas and positive rewards.
Dog walking plans are developed according to your dogs needs. Assessments will be undertaken after each walk to develop individual plans for future walks.
Quality over quantity is Pawsitive-Steps ethos, we walk fewer dogs per day to ensure each walk is not rushed. The time you book is the length of the time your dog will be walked (travel time is not included).
Your dog is cared for in your own home and includes walks, feeding, clean water, training games, grooming and bathing if required.
Daycare is booked in 4 hourly slots. Overnight care commences at 9pm until 8 am, max of 4 consecutive nights.
Please contact to discuss individual requirements.
Courses & Therapies
Courses are for dog owners and professionals working with dogs. First aid primary and secondary care certificates are offered. 1-2-1 or scheduled courses available throughout the year, provided in your own home or business venue.
In dogs, massage can be used at home for relaxation and stress relief, to help dogs with anxiety or nervous disorders, to provide relief for arthritis and to aid with the healing of muscles, joints and bones. Massage sessions are carried out at the dogs own pace and involve an assessment, massage and after care plans.
